Today is what they feel

With every passing child coming in and walking out of our campus over the last few years, either for the Fun Venture or Socialisation sessions or a Play Therapy session we have done for them, the happiness on their faces in unmatched. To  see them run, climb trees, play with rabbits, pat puppies to sleep, to see them learn how to feed a dog, or walk them, to make them feel compassion, i feel, is a privilege.

Not so many of us get to touch hearts like this. So much goes into making that one teacher, that one role model, that one idol, that ONE role model. So much MORE goes into being that PARENT who is willing to give his /her child that exposure to experience love. Away from the gadgets and life around us, to give that child the feeling of give love and warmth back to the ones who give us endlessly, be it nature or animals. And sometimes, just like that, so little it takes to break this hope for them.

Read this wonderful quote, wish to share it with all.

“For children, childhood is timeless. It is always the present. Everything is in present tense. Of course, they have memories. Of course, time shifts a little for them and Christmas comes round in the end. But they don’t feel it. Today is what they feel, and when they say ‘When I grow up,’ there is always an edge of disbelief- how could they ever be other than what they are?”
